- Each server's tools are listed when you connect. Only tools that say they're read-only run without asking.
- Anything that creates, changes or deletes waits for your yes in the chat.
- Turn single tools off, or choose whether a connector is on in new chats.
- You always see its state: healthy, connected, or off in new chats.

Your own MCP server
Bring any server.
Anything that speaks MCP over HTTP: your company's internal tools, a public docs server, something you built.
- Open Customize → Connectors & MCPand choose to add a custom server.
- Paste the server addresslike https://example.com/mcp, and give it a name if you like.
- Pick how it signs inOAuth (you sign in on the server's own page and allow only what you choose), an API key (stored encrypted), or none for public servers.
- Choose its toolsMagicx lists what the server offers. Turn tools on or off, and decide if it's on in new chats.
